The Uproar Conservation Challenge

The Unsung Need Your Voice

Uproar for Species Survival is a new initiative of the Global Center for Species Survival at the Indianapolis Zoo and the IUCN Species Survival Commission to spark curiosity, inspire learning and mobilize action for the planet’s most vulnerable species. This challenge showcases a variety of lesser-known species—and the conservation groups dedicated to their protection—in a fun, interactive match-up to determine how the prize money will be split between all of the participating groups.

The hairy-nosed otter. The barbie pagoda. And yes, the devil’s tapeworm (Tasmanian, that is). They may not be giant pandas and African lions, but these and other fungi, animals and plants featured this year are critically important to the health of their ecosystems and the planet.

Your votes will drive conservation for these unsung species to help them come roaring back.

Choose your favorites and see who will earn the $10,000 grand prize in our first Uproar Conservation Challenge, presented by T-Fiber.
